Trip to Bohol : Paradise In Our Reach (By: Jonathan T. Ubias)

~Bohol, A Paradise of Our Own Land~

Bohol, a place of wonder, a land of magnificent creatures, exotic food, and polite people.
It is a place where a family can enjoy and bond with each other.

I'm here to tell you my wonderful adventure and stay in this magnificent place.

~The Airport~

It was rainy day, we were excited to go to Bohol. We woke up early, prepared and ate breakfast then swiftly went to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. We were lucky to quickly get a cab and we were shocked that the traffic was not that clogged. We checked and gave our baggage and went to the waiting area to wait for the plane to arrive.

~The Plane~

Our plane to Bohol was a Cebu Pacific Jet. It's services are not bad, they were polite and mid-flight they gave a proper demonstration of how to acquire our life-jackets and how to properly act in cause of a plane accident. They also hosted games about our destination. The fun is not just in the plane, the view outside was stunning! The exhilaration I was feeling when I saw the view, Oh, that was fun. All-in-all it was a fun plane experience.

~Bohol~

~Sunset Villa~

For the week we stayed at Sunset Villa, this hotel for its price is great. It's not too far away from the Mall, it has a great view of the sea, a bridge passing a mangrove to the sea, great room service and it has a swimming pool.

                                             ~Tarsier~

First and foremost, there is no going to Bohol without seeing the Tarsier. These small primates are like two of the things you think about when you talk about Bohol. Be it its big eyes or small but cute physique, these animals are a sight to behold. I myself spotted some of them and they are not fun to watch, they should not be, but they are magnificent to look at. Tarsiers are not to be disturbed in the day. Nor in any day. They should always be respected and should always be in their habitat and protected. As their numbers shrink I fear that seeing this animal might be once in a lifetime. So always respect Mother Nature, respect God and all of his beautiful creations. Protect life or these Tarsiers may be lost in time.

~Chocolate Hills~

Chocolate Hills is the icon of Bohol. When you say "Bohol!" you might even be saying "Chocolate Hills!". Chocolate Hills when we were on the way, was a mystery to me and not because of how they were made but because the child in me really want to know ( even if I already know ) if Chocolate Hills was really made of chocolate. We went to the stairway up a view to take a wonderful view of the terrain and a beauty it unfolds. As we walked down the stairway the cloud was already getting dark and we went to our next destination.

~Butterfly Sanctuary~

The Butterfly Sanctuary was also a wonderful time for me. I only rarely see a butterfly and now I get to see butterflies in a sanctuary. They taught us how to differentiate butterflies from moths and as we continued the trip rain fell and we dismissed it. As we finish the tour in the sanctuary lightning revealed itself and came the thunder with it. It was time to go on our next destination.

~The Floating Restaurant~

No, it is not a "Floating in Air, restaurant" Its a restaurant "floating in water". I must be the one who thought it was actually floating in air like a cable car but that's not the point. While it was raining hard, we quickly went to the boat in a buffet where we travel while we eat. The food was delicious and the boat itself was clean, I never went to the bathroom so my opinion there may not be trusted. While we were "floating" we went to a stop to see an attraction. It was fun. The rain went to a halt and it was just cloudy again. After that we went back home to rest for the next adventure.

~Alona Beach~

Alona Beach with its white sand and once pristine waters was a sight to behold but as we swan in its waters we sadly were interrupted by the rain and thus we went to our next destination.

~Bee Farm~

The Bee Farm in Bohol is not just a simple Bee Farm, although Bee Farms are not simple at all. This Bee farm is not just a Bee farm, it's also a restaurant, a resort and a hotel. The food here are amazing and the tour itself to the farm was fun. They showed us a method of making cloth i never saw and them made us hold bee holders. We bought some honey there and to taste their ice cream was really just, Fantastic!

~Finishing Remarks~

Making this really makes me remember the fun times that we had on this place. The fun times were we laughed. The sad times where conflict ensues and the best times where we enjoyed everything and enjoyed it as a family. The whole stay here in Bohol can never be summarized into one word, It could never be, but if I were have to choose, the fun times, the great times, the best times, the sad times, and the weird times. All-in-all, to me, this trip was Magical and as we leave this place I will always leave a part of my heart to this wonderful place called Bohol.
