Mina De Oro

Mindoro is not that far from Manila.It is very wonderful attraction specially to foreigners because it is next to Palawan and near Boracay in Aklan.

Mindoro is derived from a phrase Mina de oro which means mining of gold or rich in gold from where the island got its name; it was named Spaniards. Mindoro is rich is gold mine that the province’s natural mining resources since then.Mindoro was also called Mai or Mait by the Chinese traders. The products that are exchange to Chinese people are beeswax,porcelain,goldand iron needles.

Mindoro is located in the coastal area of Luzon and the northeast side of Palawan.

There are ways to get to Mindoro by land ,air and sea.First is by air.A tourist can travel by direct flights from Manila to Mindoro which is an easy way to get through a tough travel.The second choice is by sea which is the most hard way of travelling.You first need to get to the bus station leading to Batangas port and the bus will arrive to the port for about two to three hours.The best time to travel to Batangas port is at night so that you can arrive to Mindoro by morning. The bus will get to the ship after a few hours.And after dawn you will be able to arrive Mindoro until you get to the bus station.And the last and easiest travel is by land.It doesn’t mean that the vehicle won’t get in to ship but it won’t take you too much effort to get this vehicle.It is a door-to –door van that can make you get into your destination in no time.It only cost a 1000 pesos.Just text the driver of the door-to-door van or the travel agency that is handling the service about your current home address for them to fetch you and take you to your  exact given address in Mindoro.

Mindoro is known into their various attraction. One is the Puerto Galera it can be found in the northwest side in the municipality of Oriental Mindoro.It is well known for its pocket beaches, snorkeling and scuba diving sites.It has a powder like sand that Boracay has too.The site was also known by the UNESCO world Heritage in 1973 and has the most diverse diving site in Asia. Mindoro don’t benefit in the harvest of fishermen but with the tourists that arrive in Puerto Galera.The sea in Puerto Galera is better that the sea in the Boracay because of Boracay’s polluted water system.Puerto Galera maintain a good standard of care by the marine experts.

Diving and snorkeling are the thing that can be done in a few days of unwinding in Puerto Galera.Puerto Galera has some Resort and Diving accommodation that can give you a wonderful experience for a few days on staying.

Most food in Mindoro like scallops are delicious when baked and grilled with cheese or butter.

People in Mindoro are very hospitable especially their natives .Mangyans are very generous people eben if they’re too lazy to work for their own living.They plant various plants for daily source of meal.They’re favorite food is Sardines.Believe it or not it is.

Mindoro is a great place to spend time with friends and love ones.I’ enjoy my stay in the place just for how many days.But the time was great not only with the company you’re with but with everything around you.
